Combat pets (also referred to as Item pets or Universal combat pets) may be acquired by any archetype.[1]
- Combat pets have a horizontal progression, not a vertical one. Unlike Summoner summons, combat pets do not increase a player's power, but instead require a sacrifice from the player.[2][1][3][4]

- Combat pets may be tamed from certain creatures in the world.[5]
